We keep our prices low to ensure that we’re always providing much more value than we’re taking. These prices allow us to run a profitable company while still achieving that goal. Our prices aren’t low to be the cheapest in the market, but we can support these low prices because of our scale. We still hope people choose Cliniko because it’s the best, not because of the price.
Our prices haven’t changed.
Our prices have remained the same since the day that we started in June 2011—we haven’t even adjusted for inflation. This is despite all the new features that we’ve added to Cliniko and the extra value it brings to your business.
How does the 30-day free trial work?
It only takes a few seconds to sign up and after that you can use Cliniko for free for 30 days. You don’t even need to enter any payment details! It’s really that straightforward and obligation-free. If you don't like it, there are no hoops to jump through to cancel.
Are there any upfront costs?
Absolutely not. The free trial is just what it says on the box; you can get in and start using it right away with no charge at all. There are some features that aren’t unlocked until a credit card has been entered, like Telehealth, but you’ll only be charged if you decide to keep using Cliniko after your trial. Unfortunately this has been required by us to prevent abuse of the system.
Will I automatically be charged once my free trial ends?
If you have entered a credit card on file, then yes, you’ll be billed automatically when your trial comes to an end. We’ll send you an email to remind you about this 5 days beforehand and if you don’t want to keep using Cliniko, you’ll need to cancel your subscription before your trial ends. If you choose not to use Cliniko after your trial and don’t have credit card details entered, the account will close itself—you do not need to do anything to cancel.
What fees will I be charged if I do subscribe?
- Your monthly subscription fee based on the pricing above.
- Pre-paid credits if you choose to use SMS (10¢ per message).
- If you use any 3rd party apps that integrate with Cliniko, these may have their own additional fees.
How much is it to transfer from another system to Cliniko?
It’s free! If you decide that you want to come across to Cliniko, our team can help you migrate your data over from many other practice management systems at no cost. Learn more about our transfer service here.
Can I pay annually instead of monthly?
Yes. Once you’ve signed up, you can change your Cliniko subscription plan and billing cycle from “Settings”. If you choose to pay annually, you’ll also get one month free every year on your subscription on top of your initial trial.
Do any of the features in Cliniko cost extra to use?
No, they don’t. We’re constantly adding new features to Cliniko and we’ve never charged an extra fee to use any one of them, other than optional SMS messaging.
Do you offer discounts for charities or educational institutions?
Even better than a discount, Cliniko is free to use for registered charities or educational institutions. This is part of our ongoing commitment to running an ethical business and one way that we try to support organisations who are doing good work in the world. I’m not a charity, but can I still get a discount?
As part of maintaining honest and fair pricing, we don’t offer discounts. Everyone pays what they see on the website, which allows you to make an informed assessment of the software up-front and decide whether or not it’s right for you.
Is there a minimum contract term?
No, you can cancel your subscription at any time, and you won’t be billed again. We want you to stick around because you love using Cliniko, not because we locked you into a contract!
What if I change plans halfway through?
If you change plans, you will be prorata credited for the remaining time on your current plan, and prorata charged for the new plan. This gives you maximum flexibility and ensures that you won’t end up paying more if your circumstances change. Like always, we aim for complete fairness in our pricing and charges.
What payment types are accepted?
You can use most major credit or debit cards (including Visa and Mastercard) for your automatic payments.
No external investors
Cliniko is wholly owned by its original Australian founders. This is great for you, because it means that our customers are the ones we need to please—not external random people who are just looking to make money off their investment.
