Patients can now easily book appointments in their local time zone! This post will give you a brief rundown of all the new features that were released to support multiple time zones in Cliniko, as well as how it all works, and how to implement time zone support for your communications.

We’re excited to announce that your patients can now view and select bookings in their local time zone! That means you can more easily book patients no matter their distance from your clinic, which is particularly handy for telehealth. Patient communications (including appointment confirmations and reminders) are also sent out to patients in their local time zone.
By default we will show online bookings in your business’ time zone but patients can use the time-zone drop-down to change their location.
The booking appointment confirmation and reminders will also include the patient’s set time zone. In your communication settings you’ll see new content placeholders to automatically include the start and end time of your patient’s appointment with the time zone indicated.

You can edit an individual patient’s time zone in their patient record. If for any reason, you want to completely disable your patients’ ability to see and select appointments in their local time zone, you can turn this feature off through your online booking settings.
