You can now use decimal quantities on invoices!
If you need precision in your invoices, this change is for you.
Aisling Smith·

You now have the option to use decimal quantities on invoices in Cliniko! This update means more accurate invoices and no more need for rounding. In some countries, this change will also make it easier to stay up to date with local compliance requirements. Some of options that using decimal quantities open up for you include:
- Invoicing for a 1.5 hour appointment
- Billing for overtime
- Recording specific distances if you log travel time
- Tracking your product inventory
To enable decimal quantities within your Cliniko account, you’ll first need to choose the tax calculation method that’s right for your business. This will be either tax inclusive (which means prices include tax) or tax-exclusive (which means prices exclude tax). If you want more detail about what these options mean—and for the full steps on how to set up decimal quantities—head to our support guide.
We’ll eventually roll out this change across all Cliniko accounts, but you can switch over early anytime that you’d like.
