There’s been lots happening behind the scenes at Cliniko lately! We’re excited to release a couple of new features that we hope make your workday a bit smoother. You’ll find an update that allows you to instantly convert images and PDFs into Cliniko templates, plus managing payments across multiple invoices is now a whole lot easier. And this is just the beginning—there are more features in the works, which we can’t wait to share with you in the coming weeks and months.

We’re also talking about our stance when it comes to incorporating AI into Cliniko. It’s a topic that we get asked about a lot and our founder, Joel, is giving an update about what’s coming next and a behind the scenes look at our approach to AI. Joel explains why the shortcomings of this technology, such as hallucinations and omissions, require caution and responsible usage when it comes to healthcare.

Features

  • Turn PDFs and images into Cliniko templates in seconds
Automatically transform your PDFs, images, and paper documents into Cliniko templates! Cliniko’s new image generation tool immediately generates templates, and the end result is fully customisable to suit your practice. If you’ve got paper patient forms and treatment notes, this is an instant way to digitise them, without resorting to a scanner.
  • Upcoming changes to payment allocations
Allocating payments across multiple invoices is now a lot more straightforward. You’ll now have total flexibility to decide which invoice you want payments to be directed towards automatically: the oldest invoice first, the newest, the one you’re working on, or none at all. You’ll also retain full manual control to make any tweaks!

  • The security threat you need to know about
Infostealers are a kind of malware that’s currently on the rise. Unfortunately, a strong password alone won’t always be enough to protect you from them, so it’s important that you have additional security measures in place to keep your data safe. There’s one step in particular that we highly recommend—it’s quick and easy to set up, and it could potentially mean the difference between suffering a data breach or not. What is it? Check out Rachel’s latest video on the topic or read the full article to find out!
